About G.I.R.L.: Our Statement of Faith
|
We believe:
† That the Bible is the God-breathed inspired word of God written by men as they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit and that the Bible is to be used for instruction, correction, rebuke and reproof.
† In one God eternally existing in three persons, namely the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
† That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. We believe that He ascended to Heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
† That all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and is necessary for forgiveness of sins. We believe the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary is necessary for the forgiveness of sins and the only way to salvation.
† In the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
